Obituary

Byron D. Hancock 05/08/1924~05/13/2010 I was born to Martin Levison and Lydia Lovina Kimball Hancock in Roosevelt, Utah on May 8, 1924. My family lived in Bluebell. We had a farm and herded sheep in the summer time. I got a lot of experience in repairing and building farm equipment. This experience plus the education I later acquired, gave me the skills to build my own business known as "Byron's Body Shop."I married the love of my life, Colene Timothy, in the Salt Lake Temple on August 20, 1947. We lived in Salt Lake City for nine years, and then moved to Granger, now West Valley, where we built our house and business and lived for 53 1/2 years. Together we raised eight sons and two daughters - Lee, Don, John, Scott, Janet, Dale, Dennis, Teri, Aaron and David. We were married for 62 1/2 years and there is no one else I would rather have spent my life with. On May 13, 2010, I was called home to my Father in Heaven and had to leave my sweetheart. I was grateful to spend my last days with my family and loved ones. I am very proud of my 10 children, 29 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. My wishes for my children are to love one another and remember to mind your grandmother. My life was filled with love and I am blessed to have so many close friends. I am grateful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and appreciate all who have been part of my life. I have always been willing to help others and have magnified and fulfilled all my callings in the Church.

Thanks for posting some of Byron's favorite tunes. They are some of my favorite too. So are you hoping to get people to post their favorite stories here?
